Cross-Fire Youth Ministry

Cross-Fire is the Youth Ministry at City Hope Fellowship Foursquare Gospel Church, located in historic Utica, NY. Cross-Fire Youth Ministry exists to bring the reality of the need for Christ Jesus to the youth of our Church and our surrounding communities. In a world that promotes sinfullness openly, we at City Hope Fellowship and Cross-Fire feel it is our Christian obligation and our hearts desire to teach our young people about their need for Salvation through Jesus Christ and how to live lives of holiness and godliness. We do this by teaching the Bible in it's fullness in an uncompromised manner and by modeling the Christian lifestyle. It is our goal and our desire to help the youth of our Church and our surrounding communities see their need for God and to reach them in a way that appeals to their senses. We understand what kids are into in today's culture so we make it a point to teach the Gospel of Jesus and promote the Christian lifestyle in a way that will draw young people to God, without compromising or watering down the message we are delivering.

What we at Cross-Fire Youth Ministry believe about God is very simple.

1. We believe that the Earth was created by God and that God desires to have a relationship with us. (Gen. 1:1 / Gen. 1:26-31 / John 3:16)

2. We believe that mankind as a whole became sinful, thus according to God's standard, needed to be forgiven and cleansed of sin so we could once again be worthy to be in relationship with God. (Gen. 3 / Rom. 1: 18-32 / 1 John 1:8-10)

3. We believe that Jesus Christ, according to God's plan and standard, is the only way to a restored relationship with God. We believe that Jesus Christ, according to the Bible, fulfilled God's requirement for the punishment of all mankind's sin for all time, by Jesus death on the Cross and His Resurrection from the grave. (2 Cor. 5:21 / Rom. 3:21-26 / Rom 6:23 / Acts 4:12)

Kristopher and Kimberly Mays have been part of the body of Christ at City Hope Fellowship Foursquare Gospel Church since 2001. Kristopher and Kimberly have been married since March 22, 1999 and have 4 children together named Lexis, Isaiha, Genavieve and Abigail. Kristopher currently serves as both a Worship Leader and Youth Leader at City Hope Fellowship and Kimberly serves as a Youth Leader, Toddler Minister and as a singer on City Hope Fellowship's Worship Team. Kristopher is also the Lead Vocalist and Guitarist for the Christian Rock Band known as "Stranger than Fate". The Mays family currently reside in Utica, NY.

City Hope Fellowship is part of an International Assembly of Church's and belivers known as The Foursquare Gospel Church. Foursquare International is a World-Wide organization of some 65,000 Church's!
